Join us in nourishing our community through Faith in Action! Together, we can provide essential food assistance to local families experiencing hardship and food insecurity.
We're committed to addressing food insecurity in our community by providing nutritious meals to families experiencing hardship. Through careful coordination and compassionate service, we aim to support our most vulnerable neighbors with dignity and respect.
Understanding Food Insecurity
One in eight families in our community face hunger daily. Economic challenges have intensified this crisis, particularly affecting these vulnerable groups:
Children
School-age children are most affected, missing crucial nutrition needed for proper physical and cognitive development.
Seniors
Fixed incomes leave elderly neighbors choosing between nutritious food and essential medications they need.
Working Families
Despite employment, many families struggle with rising costs and inadequate wages to cover basic nutritional needs.
Housing Insecure
Those facing housing challenges often sacrifice meals to maintain shelter, creating a cycle of instability.
How We Collect Donations
Sunday Collections
Bring donations to the church foyer before or after services (8AM-1PM)
Weekday Drop-offs
Church office accepts donations Monday-Thursday (9AM-4PM)
Monthly Drive-Thru
First Saturday drive-thru collection in church parking lot (10AM-2PM)
Special Events
Seasonal food drives during major holidays with extended hours
We welcome non-perishable items like canned proteins, pasta, rice, beans, and cereal. Please ensure donations are unexpired and undamaged. Monetary donations can be made online through our secure website.
Distribution Process
Registration
We maintain a simple, dignified process to identify needs while respecting the privacy and dignity of each family we serve.
Preparation
Our dedicated volunteers assemble nutrition-balanced packages, ensuring each family receives a variety of healthy food options.
Distribution
Weekly pickup times are available at our church and partner locations, offering convenient access throughout the community.
Delivery
We provide home delivery services for seniors and disabled individuals who cannot visit our distribution sites.
We partner with local shelters and community centers to ensure wide distribution. Our dignity-focused model emphasizes respect, offering a shopping-like experience where possible rather than pre-packed boxes.
